There are many reasons why organizations are willing to implement a management system. Over 2.4 million organisations benefit from certification against management systems standards agreed and published by the International Organisation for Standardisation (ISO).

Management systems improve processes, reduce costs, increase the success and prove to your customers and potential customers that you are credible, reliable and compliant.

Certification is offered by conformity assessment or certification bodies which may or may not be accredited by national accreditation bodies.

Accredited Certification is available after assessment from an accredited body, such as UKAS (United Kingdom) and TURKAK (Turkey). The accredited body do not provide help or support, they conduct the assessment and give the certification company a pass or fail.

For many organizations, certification is useful as it provides the infrastructure needed to improve their business and to be well recognised. But in many cases, organizations require Accredited Certification, so the certification bodies assessed by an accredited body can provide management system certification to them.

Accreditation of conformity assessment bodies or certification bodies is carried out against internationally accepted requirements of international standards defining competence criteria for the categories.

An accredited conformity assessment body or certification body builds trust and compliance with applicable specified requirements. Thereby accreditation eliminates of technical barriers to trade.

About UKAS

UKAS (United Kingdom Accreditation Service) is a recognized organization by the British government and assess the competence of organizations that provide certification, testing, inspection and calibration services, against international standards.

UKAS accreditation assures the competence, impartiality and integrity of conformity assessment bodies, certification bodies. UKAS accreditation reduces the need for suppliers to be assessed by each of their customers.

UKAS’ involvement in international groups such as EA, IAF and ILAC, provides for mutual recognition. This reduces the need for multiple assessments of the interested parties and helps to reduce barriers to trade for organisations.

If organizations want to know that the company performing your audits is of the highest possible standard, this is one of the accreditations they need to see the front and centre of its offering.

The internationally recognised accreditation gives the certification company, conformity assessment body, certified company and the business a competitive advantage which opens access to new markets within the UK, EU and beyond.

About TURKAK

TURKAK started to provide accreditation services in 2001 and became a signatory of MLA with EA for all the available accreditation schemes at 2008. Currently, TURKAK is a full member of EA, IAF and ILAC.

TURKAK Accreditation is a quality infrastructure tool which supports the credibility and value of the work carried out by conformity assessment bodies and certification bodies including test and inspection reports, calibration certificates, certifications of management systems, products and personnel and other attestations.

TURKAK is an agency which is focused to provide accreditation services to satisfy the national needs and harmonize with European Union regulations, sustain cooperation with international stakeholders, government parties and relevant market actors.
